LA Times Festival of Books Leads Weekend Events for Inglewood Residents
Los Angeles offers an exciting array of events this weekend, with something for everyone from Inglewood and surrounding communities to enjoy.
The LA Times Festival of Books returns to USC for its 30th year, offering free admission and featuring book exhibits, performances, and expert panels. Located near the Expo Line, the festival is easily accessible for Inglewood residents looking to explore literature and culture.
Other notable events include the Friends of the Los Angeles River (FoLAR) Earth Month Celebration at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve, where families can participate in environmental activities, and Open Arts San Pedro, a two-day art event showcasing over 100 local artists.
“There are so many incredible community events happening this weekend,” said Michael Torres, a local Inglewood community organizer. “It’s a great opportunity for residents to explore different parts of Los Angeles and support local artists and organizations.”
The Inglewood Public Library will be hosting a free weekend workshop on Sunday to help residents plan future cultural outings and explore event opportunities.
