Alt-right Extremists Storm US Capitol, National Guard Mobilized

US Capitol Building

January 6, 2021 – Alt-right extremists stormed the US capitol today, interrupting a joint session congress that was in the middle of tallying the Electoral vote count.

Members of congress were evacuated as large numbers of Alt-right extremists flooded into the US Capitol building, eventually entering the main chambers and the offices of several congressmembers, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

At least one person was shot during gun fire in the building.

This comes as both houses of congress were in the middle of a joint-session to tally the Electoral vote count and certify the election, cementing Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.

After an initial slow response, National Guard and FBI teams were deployed and were able to clear the US Capitol building of the extremists.

Washington DC has enacted a curfew that began at 6pm eastern time.

Several members of congress have vowed to continue tallying the vote tonight.
