Green Dot Public Schools: Classes Online, Reopening Plans Uncertain

As of recent Green Dot schools have decided that they will proceed with the school year through Hybrid learning.  In the interest of health, this decision to reopen their schools was postponed by the recent increase in cases for COVID-19. As the CDC has recently updated their total number of cases, there were 60,971 New Cases as of July 15 written “CDC.” Then followed by Dr. Cristina d. Jesus President of Green Dot Public Schools starting in a letter to green dot families that they will ”determine whether or not it is safe to begin in-person instruction.” However,  they have also stated that once the conditions for their students are deemed reliable enough, they would reopen, as asserted by Dr. Cristinad. Jesus “  [we would] begin by opening our campuses under a hybrid model where some students will be on campus part-time”(Green dots Ceo). (Hybrid instruction – minimal face to face time alongside long-distance learning)

With increasing cases, the chance that the final plans for the school being able to be accomplished by this year appear to be uncertain.
