Smoke Blankets The Southland As Wildfires Rage

September 23, 2021 – Inglewood was basked in an hazy orange glow today as smoke from wildfires up north blanketed the air. Air quality alerts were issued for parts of the state as winds pushed the smokes southwards from Central California. Officials urged residents on social media not to bombard 911 with calls about the smoke.

It is expected for the smoke to hang around through Friday, until winds begin moving east on Saturday, clearing the air.
