Thirty Seconds to Mars to Celebrate Album Anniversary with Special Forum Concert
Rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars has announced a special one-night-only concert at Inglewood’s Kia Forum on August 16, 2025, bringing significant entertainment traffic to the city as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album “A Beautiful Lie.”
The band, fronted by actor-musician Jared Leto and his brother Shannon Leto, will perform the 2005 album in its entirety for the first time, including hit singles “The Kill” and “From Yesterday.” The show marks a homecoming for the Los Angeles-based group, who released a new album in 2023 but didn’t include a Los Angeles stop on their subsequent tour.
For Inglewood’s hospitality and service industries, the announcement represents another major entertainment event expected to draw thousands of visitors to the city. Local restaurants, hotels, and retail businesses near the Forum typically see significant revenue increases on concert nights.
“These big-name concerts at the Forum are always good for business,” said Carlos Mendez, owner of a restaurant on Manchester Boulevard near the venue. “We’ll definitely be fully staffed that night and expecting a pre-show dinner rush.”
The Kia Forum, formerly known as The Forum and the Great Western Forum, has been a landmark in Inglewood since 1967 and remains one of Southern California’s premier concert venues despite competition from newer arenas. The historic venue underwent a $100 million renovation in 2014 and continues to attract major musical acts to Inglewood.
City officials have previously noted that major concerts contribute significantly to Inglewood’s economy, with visitors spending money at local businesses and generating tax revenue. The city has worked to coordinate traffic management and security for large events at both the Forum and nearby SoFi Stadium.
Thirty Seconds to Mars emerged in the early 2000s and gained mainstream success with their second album, “A Beautiful Lie,” which has since been certified platinum. Jared Leto, who won an Academy Award for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club,” has balanced his acting and music careers over the years.
The band has promised special guests for the anniversary show, though no names have been announced yet. Local music fans are speculating about potential surprise appearances from other Los Angeles-based musicians.
Tickets for the concert go on sale this Friday, April 18, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and the Live Nation website. Based on previous high-profile concerts at the Forum, local residents are advised to plan for increased traffic around the venue on the evening of August 16.
