When Boredom Hits

I know I am not the only one who is feeling pretty bored by now ! Everyday it is the same cycle: Wake up , shower, eat,  go on Tik Tok, Instagram, eat again, sleep, go back on Tik Tok, Instagram, and then do the same thing everyday. By now I want to throw my phone away because I have been on it way too long. With School about to start back for some people, it’s going to be even more boring. Students are not going to want to wake up and stay on a zoom call from 8-3 with breaks in between. If you are feeling like me, then I am here with some encouragement on how to keep yourself occupied in your free time and during online  school.

When it comes to keeping yourself occupied while at home, there are plenty of things you can do other than watch/make Tik Toks or browse through the gram. One of those things is exercise. I personally enjoy exercising because it keeps me active and I get to work at my own pace. If you would like to start your workout journey, go search up Chloe ting. She has lots of different workouts that you can do right at home. If that doesn’t interest you then this next one might: Cook ! This is the perfect time to look up different recipes and try new foods because the reality is, you have nothing better to do with your time.

Now, online school is a little different. For some , including me , we are already going in with the mindset of “I don’t want to do this”, “it’s hard”, etc. Instead of being negative, we need to go in with a more positive attitude and understand that it is new to us so we should at least give it a try. A few things you can do to make it less boring are make group chats with your friends, take mental breaks and watch funny videos or memes, come up with creative ways to study, and lastly don’t allow yourself to become overwhelmed. If at any point you feel that way you need to contact your teacher and let them know so you all can figure out a way to help you.

So remember, take a break from social media and do something productive, it will all be worth it!
