Fatal Shooting in Lennox Under Investigation by Sheriff’s Department
A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Lennox, an unincorporated community near Inglewood, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 4:15 a.m. on March 9 in the 10700 block of South Inglewood Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives have launched an investigation, though authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity or information about potential suspects.
This incident marks the third homicide reported in the Inglewood-Lennox area this year, according to data from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Community safety advocates from the Inglewood-Lennox Community Coalition expressed concern about the recent violence. “Every life lost affects our entire community,” said Maria Ramirez, coalition coordinator. “We’re working with local law enforcement to address safety concerns in the neighborhood while supporting affected families.”
