The City of Inglewood has announced a 30-day public comment period and upcoming public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan. This plan outlines how the city will allocate federal funding for community development and housing initiatives throughout the coming fiscal year.

According to the official notice released by the City Clerk’s office, the public comment period will run from April 5 through May 5, 2025, giving residents an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the proposed changes. The City Council will then hold a public hearing on May 6 at 2:00 PM in the Council Chambers of Inglewood City Hall.

“Public participation is an essential part of this process,” said a representative from the Inglewood Housing and Community Development Department. “We encourage all residents to review the proposed amendments and share their thoughts, either in writing during the comment period or in person at the public hearing.”

The Annual Action Plan specifically addresses the allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds—all federal resources designed to support affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, and social services in the community.

For Inglewood residents, these amendments could impact neighborhood improvement projects, affordable housing initiatives, homeless services, and various community programs throughout the city. The proposed changes reflect adjustments to funding priorities based on community needs assessments and available resources.

The draft amendments will be available for review at the Housing and Community Development Department offices (located on the 8th floor of Inglewood City Hall), at the Inglewood Public Library, and on the City of Inglewood’s official website.

Residents who wish to submit written comments can send them to the Housing and Community Development Department at One Manchester Boulevard, Inglewood, CA 90301, or via email through the city’s website. All comments must be received by May 5, 2025, to be included in the official record.

Those unable to attend the public hearing in person can access it through the city’s live streaming service on the Inglewood City website or on local cable access channels. The City Council has also established procedures for virtual participation for those who wish to speak during the public comment portion of the hearing.
